Day-by-Day Programme

Day 1: Hanoi to Hoa Lu and Tam Coc (L)

  • Transfer: Depart from Hanoi to Ninh Binh (110 km; approx. 2 hours).
  • Activities
    • Start the tour at 08:30 and head to Tam Coc River.
    • Enjoy a private sampan cruise through Tam Coc, also known as ‘Halong Bay on Land.’ Admire the limestone karsts and lush landscapes.
    • Lunch featuring Vietnamese dishes after the boat cruise.
    • Explore Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, and learn about the Dinh and Le Dynasties.
    • Option to climb limestone hills for panoramic views or take a scenic bike ride around the village, including a visit to Bich Dong Pagoda.
  • Overnight: In Ninh Binh.

Day 2: Ninh Binh to Halong Bay (B, L, D)

  • Transfer: Depart from Ninh Binh to Halong Bay (160 km; approx. 4 hours).
  • Activities:
    • Arrive at the pier around noon; check-in on your boat.
    • Lunch served while cruising through Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay.
    • Afternoon activities based on the boat’s itinerary (e.g., kayaking, cave visits).
    • Anchor for the night surrounded by stunning karst formations.
  • Evening: Enjoy sunset on the deck followed by dinner.
  • Overnight: Onboard in Halong or Lan Ha Bay.

Day 3: Halong Bay to Hanoi (B)

  • Morning: Enjoy breakfast or brunch while taking in the serene views of the bay.
  • Activities:
    • Checkout as the cruise returns to port.
